Poetry

Philosophy For Pigs

by Bob Newman

I’m pink,
I stink,
I think.
I oink… therefore I am.

On our tod
We plod,
Ill-shod.
No ‘God’ – that’s all flim flam.

Turtle dove?
No, guv.
Heavens above!
What’s ‘love’? A tetragram.

Free swill?
No bill?
That’s brill!
Free will? No, that’s a sham.

Soon gone
Our one
Season.
Cling on, like a bloody clam.

Don’t shun
The sun
Have fun!
Long run, we’ll all be ham.
