Long before I ever dreamt of being a professional (or even amateur) philosopher, my earliest goal was to be a cartoonist. When I was a child I loved to read ‘the funny pages’ and hoped to create an entire world of my own making akin to those I found in the comic strips. I even for a time published such a strip in my grammar school paper.
