Sometimes we have to make moral decisions without having any certainty about the consequences of the different courses of action that are open to us. Would knowing the probabilities of the results of our actions change our moral decisions? To consider this question we’ll start with the classic thought experiment about the runaway trolley, and then give it a twist by introducing uncertainty.
